Druk Air and Changi Airport signed memorandum and to start direct flights between Singapore and Bhutan from May 17th2013. As per memorandum Druk Air will fly to Singapore twice a week. Flight from Singapore to Bhutan is expected to take five hours with a 35 minutes stopover in Kolkata. The Flight will depart from Changi Air port around 6AM in the morning

Detail Itinerary

Day 01: (TUE/THU / SUN) SINGAPORE - via KOLKATA - PARO- Drive to Thimphu (1 hr)
Check in Airport (at Singapore Changi Airport) for your flight to Paro, Bhutan Tour, a town and seat of Paro District in the Paro Valley of Bhutan. It is the home to Paro Airport, Bhutan's only International Airport. In the clear weather, there are magnificent views of the world's highest peaks. Our Local Bhutanese Cultural Guide will meet & greet you at the airport and transfer to Thimphu. Visit MEMORIAL CHORTEN –the most impressive stupa built in the memory of Bhutan's third King by the order of Grand Queen mother Ashi Phuntsho Chhoden in 1974. Overnight: Thimphu | Altitude: 2300m
Day 02: Thimphu – Punakha tours (2 ½ Hrs)
Morning visit the School of Arts and Crafts where students learn 13 different arts used predominantly in Bhutan, walk to Folk Heritage Museum which is located next to the school and end with the visit to nearby National Library. After lunch drive to Punakha over Dochula pass, at 3150m, if the weather permits one can enjoy a spectacular view of the highest mountains of Bhutan at a sight that stretches almost 180 degrees. Walk around the 108 stupas and enjoy the view and the fresh air. Continue your drive to the warm valley of Punakha. Overnight: Punakha | Altitude: 1350m
Day 03: Punakha sightseeing
Morning drive to visit Punakha Dzong (fortress), which houses the most elaborated temple in the country. This is a fine example of Bhutanese rich Art and Architecture. Drive further up to visit the Souvenir Making Center for girls supported by Youth Development Fund. Interact with the students and back to the hotel for lunch. After lunch could relax in the balcony of the hotel to enjoy the view and the nature. Or could go for an hour hike to the temple of Khamsum Yuley Lakhang or the temple of Chimi Lakhang, the temple of fertility associated with religious art of phallus. Overnight: Punakha | Altitude: 1350m
Day 04: Punakha – Phobjikha (3 Hrs)
Check out from the hotel, drive to the isolated valley of Phobjikha. The valley is protected for the endangered Black Necked Cranes migrating to Bhutan every winter (early Nov to End of February). The drive is very picturesque and worth every turn and climb. On arrival visit Gangtey Gompa, the only Ningmapa monastery which is largest in the western Bhutan. Phobjikha valley is a paradise for hikers and nature lovers. Later in the afternoon could relax in the hotel or could go for a nice short hike in the valley. This valley got electricity only recently. Farm house stay optional. Overnight: Phobjikha | Altitude: 2900m
Day 05: Phobjikha – Paro (6 Hrs)
Retrace the drive back to Paro. After lunch visit Paro Dzong (Fortress) on foot and continue walking through the oldest wooden bridge still in use. Continue further to stroll around the old Paro town and peep into some local handicrafts stores. Could get some opportunity to see the traditional game, Archery match going on. Evening back to the hotel and enjoy the facility in the hotel. Overnight: Paro | Altitude: 2200m
Day 06: Paro Sightseeing
Morning drive to the base for the hike (2 hrs uphill) to Tiger’s Nest, the most revered temple in the country that literally hangs on a granite cliff over looking the Paro valley. Lunch in the cafeteria. Most of the day will go on the hike. Back to the hotel and enjoy the facility. Hot stone bath for available on Clients personal cost. Farewell dinner in the town. Overnight: Paro
Day 07: (MON/WED / SAT) PARO via KOLKATA - SINGAPORE KB500 0720/1515 B - Final Departure OR Extend your tour to Nepal / India / Tibet
Morning transfer to the airport (10 mins) for your departure flight. Our tour staff will bid you farewell at the airport. Packet breakfast will be served and then depart for airport for your flight back to Singapore. Direct flight from PARO to SINGAPORE via KOLKATA - Departures every Monday, Wednesday & Saturday. In February and March 2015, my wife and I were able to visit Bhutan. Our best tour trip was arranged with the assistance of Rajan and his company. Our time in Bhutan was particularly enjoyable, perhaps partly by contrast with Delhi and Kathmandu. If all of the guides and drivers you employ in your company are of the same quality as Ngawang and Bhim then you must receive many critiques praising their performance. Bhim's skills as a driver were manifest any number of times from congested traffic in Thimpu to the rugged road between Thimpu and Punakha. He also has good English and a sense of humor. We felt very secure in his car.

Ngawang is a perfect blend of calm (perhaps even serene) and knowledge. He patiently explained and reexplained some very difficult (for us) aspects of life in Bhutan and Buddhism. He was flexible (we wanted to skip the Paro Dzong) as you said he would be. Highlights of our time in Bhutan had to be our hike to the Taktshang Monastery and the meal we had on the last evening with the rice farming family.  I don't know if it was coincidental, but we had commented earlier that we were tiring of continental cuisine for seemingly every lunch and dinner. This entirely Bhutanese meal was a perfect way to end our visit.

All hotels were excellent. We especially enjoyed the view from the veranda of our hotel in Punakha.
In short, not much to complain about. We will certainly be recommending the "Bhutan experience" and your company to our friends.

Exciting and an adventurous trip

We have come back last Sunday from and exciting and an adventurous trip to your country. It was exciting climbing and trekking those mountains .We stayed at some decent hotels, however the food was average. The guide and the driver you provided were excellent. Nawang was a font of knowledge , both local and international, the driver Jeevan was very good and careful, and he made the journey very comfortable.We enjoyed all the sights we visited and every day we looked forward to a ne destination. The downside to the trip was the condition of the roads, I understand that the Government has undertaken the road widening project from Thimphu to Bumthang . We found it extremely tiring because of the many bad road conditions on the way.Bhutan is unspoilt and we would visit again.The whole experience was well worth the visit.

Many thanks for organizing such a wonderful tour for us. This will remain our unforgettable trip! We felt so lucky that we were able to visit your beautiful country during the 30th Anniversary of the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations between Bhutan and Japan.

We spent one night in Thimphu, two nights in Phunakha, and two nights in Paro. Phunaka's Lobesa hotel became one of the most impressive splendid hotels we have ever stayed! Its view from the window was just gorgeous and took our breath away.

Nawang was a knowledgeable, kind and caring guide and we learned a lot about your beautiful country from him. Ugay was a safe driver and we felt so comfortable in the lovely Nissan four wheels.

The tour was both very informative and fun. In addition, Nawang accommodated many of our requests and re-arranged the original schedule to our satisfaction. Going to the weekend market in Thimphu became one of the highlights of this tour for us !

We'd like to visit Bhutan again in the future and we will definitely ask you again to organize tour for us.
